Pan Trinbago Youth Rally postponed to September
Pan Trinbago’s Youth Rally, carded for today, has been postponed. The national steelband organisation yesterday issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the postponement but said the decision was due to the unavailability of the venue which has been “locked down” in preparation for the Republic’s Annual Independence Parade.
The event, part of Pan Trinbago’s Steelband Band Month, will now take place on September 29 at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free. Eight youth steel orchestras, including Junior Panorama champions, will display their music versatility. In a media release yesterday, the organising committee of the event expressed their regrets for the non-staging of this event on the previously advertised date but gave the assurance that September 29 event would be worth the wait.
