Mem­bers of the Mus­lim com­mu­ni­ty in Ma­yaro have been urged to hold firm to the teach­ings of Is­lam. This was the ad­vice of head of the Mafek­ing masjid Imam Al­imool Rahim who urged Mus­lims to re­main stead­fast to the val­ues they in­cul­cat­ed dur­ing the month of Ra­mad­han and ex­tend these val­ues through­out the year, and to the com­mu­ni­ty.

Rahim said Mus­lims should ex­tend a sense of love and fel­low­ship to­wards the broth­ers in Is­lam as the com­mu­ni­ty forges to cre­ate tighter bonds. He said he want­ed Mus­lims to take an ac­tive role in at­tend­ing the mosque every Fri­day, as well as at­tend­ing ser­vices dur­ing Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Ad­ha. He said the mosque was look­ing to ex­pand and has launched a build­ing fund to im­prove the phys­i­cal in­fra­struc­ture to cater for the 200-plus Mus­lims liv­ing in Ma­yaro

Rahim said he planned to con­struct a vis­i­tor fa­cil­i­ty to cater for the many Mus­lim­swho trav­elled to Ma­yaro, so they would have com­fort­able place to wor­ship.
