Police recovered three shotguns and seized three rounds of ammunition during a raid at the home of a Petrotrin employee in Erin early yesterday. Investigators said around 1 am, police officers from the South Western Divisional Task Force, including Cpls Seecharan and Solomon and Constables Ramlal and Aguilera went to the suspect's home and conducted a search.
The officers went to the back of the house and saw a barrel. When they looked inside, they saw three 16-guage shotguns, each loaded with a single cartridge. The man was taken to the Erin Police Station where he was charged with possession of illegal arms and ammunition. He is expected to appear before a Point Fortin magistrate today to answer the charges.
