Joel Bobtim, 29, a petty officer with the T&T Cadets, was sitting by a shop located at Straker Village, Laventille, around 10.40 am yesterday, when he was approached by a group of men from a neighbouring community. The men drew firearms, shot him several times and ran off. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police believe Bobtim's murder may be a case of mistaken identity. ASP Ajith Persad, Insp Nesbitt and Cpl Sirju of the Port-of-SpainCID are investigating.
