The United National Congress (UNC) is calling on supporters to march “against the injustices” committed on the nation by the People’s National Movement (PNM). The call was made by international relations officer of the party Shane Mohammed on the eve of today’s march by the PNM from the Red House to the Office of the President, St Ann’s. The Opposition is to deliver a petition to President George Maxwell Richards. Rowley said the country was under attack from the People’s Partnership Government. But Mohammed said Rowley was an irresponsible leader “who believes that his way to the prime ministership is to coerce the population into social unrest and mislead the population with PNM propaganda.” Mohammed said: “Today the people of our nation should stand up against the PNM and march against the injustice that we suffered for all those years that they governed.” He said Rowley’s utterances were “callous and deceptive, and” citizens should remain focused  “and denounce any attempt to destabilise our society using underhanded tactics.”
