San Juan res­i­dent Per­cy Vil­lafana says that the Her­bert Vol­ney (for­mer Jus­tice min­is­ter) in­ci­dent is "mak­ing Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar's task of gov­ern­ing very dif­fi­cult." From Win­nipeg, Cana­da, he had been mon­i­tor­ing Vol­ney's fir­ing. He called up­on the Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship to "buck­le up" and start work­ing as­sid­u­ous­ly to­wards im­prov­ing the lives of the cit­i­zen­ry.

Via e-mail Vil­lafana said, "The neg­a­tive ac­tions of some mem­bers of the Part­ner­ship is mak­ing the task of gov­ern­ing ex­treme­ly dif­fi­cult for the PM and oth­ers whose goal is to see the Part­ner­ship suc­ceed."?Plead­ing for good gov­er­nance, ?Vil­lafana added, "They need to sit down and give some se­ri­ous thought to the present state of gov­er­nance. The thing can­not con­tin­ue so. Time is run­ning out. Time for the Part­ner­ship to start buck­ling up and start work­ing to im­prove. The "vot­ing pub­lic" needs to know when the elec­tion comes around they would be left with no choice but to re elect the Part­ner­ship."
