Volney’s Facebook account hacked
Former Justice Minister Herbert Volney yesterday advised his Facebook friends to be careful of what they read on his wall because it has been compromised. On Saturday, a wall post apparently put there by Volney attacked Attorney General Anand Ramlogan. Volney was fired on Thursday by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar over the Administration of Justice (Indictable Proceedings) Act and the proclamation of Section 34.
Yesterday Volney, via BlackBerry, posting as “MP Herbert Volney,” wrote: “Careful with what you read here as this Facebook account has been compromised.” Several comments in reply thanked him for the warning. Another reply was: “Steups. The account or the owner? and “Shucks! Like mine was compromised too..” Another visitor wrote, “Can I trust what you say? Were your postings yesterday yours, or somebody else's? “
He continued: “Right now the population don’t know who to believe or trust!!!!!” Yet another said: “Dude ur job compromised...”
