Burglars broke into a proprietor's home at Point Fortin on Friday and stole more than $95,000 in cash and a gold watch. Police said Roger Carrington, 44, of Warden Road, secured his home around 2.15 pm on Friday and went away. When he returned eight hours later, he discovered a door on the eastern side of the house open. Checks revealed that $30,000 in cash and a gold watch valued $65,000 were missing.
Officers led by Cpl Taitt and including PC Mc Leod visited the scene. The house was dusted for fingerprints and several clear prints were lifted. Investigations are continuing.
