Members of the Syrian Lebanese Women's Association gathered at St Anthony's College Hall on December 11, to pack 1,600 food boxes which were distributed to poor and needy families throughout the country. The association has been engaged in this project for more than 27 years, and to many members, this undertaking has become a vital part of their own Christmas tradition.
The association, in a statement, said despite the sluggishness in the country's economy, businesses and individuals gave tremendous support by way of donations for the purchase of items for the project.
