Five La Ro­maine broth­ers are among ten peo­ple ex­pect­ed to ap­pear in the Siparia Mag­is­trates' Court this morn­ing charged with pos­ses­sion of il­le­gal drugs. The broth­ers were ar­rest­ed at their La Ro­maine home on Sat­ur­day dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed by of­fi­cers of the South West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and su­per­vised by Sgt An­der­son Pa­ri­man, Cpl Solomon, Sgt Gokool and as­sist­ed by con­sta­bles?Badree and Jamaldin among oth­ers.

Of­fi­cers said two ki­los of com­pressed mar­i­jua­na was found hid­den at the house. Of­fi­cers al­so ar­rest­ed a Mon?De­sir cou­ple with a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na and a La Brea res­i­dent with co­caine. On Fri­day, of­fi­cers al­so raid­ed a house in Kroomen Set­tle­ment off St John's Road, South Oropouche and seized a quan­ti­ty of high-grade com­pressed mar­i­jua­na with an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of more than $750,000.

Two sus­pects, ages 33 and 38, who were in the house at the time, were ar­rest­ed.
