Resh­ma Ra­goonath

Two San Fer­nan­do men are nurs­ing gun­shot wounds af­ter be­ing at­tacked out­side a bar yes­ter­day morn­ing. The men iden­ti­fied as Arthur Boswell, 28, a bar­tender of Man­a­ham­bre Road, Princes Town, and Matthews Cadet, 34, un­em­ployed, of Coop­er Street, San Fer­nan­do, were up to late yes­ter­day ward­ed at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al?Hos­pi­tal in sta­ble con­di­tion.

Po­lice re­ports state that around 1.30 am Boswell was stand­ing out­side his work­place, Land­ing Strip Bar, Cof­fee Street, San Fer­nan­do, along with Cadet when two men armed with firearms ap­proached. The men opened fire on Boswell and Cadet be­fore es­cap­ing on foot. Boswell re­ceived a shot to his right arm, while Cadet was shot in the face.

The men were tak­en to the hos­pi­tal for treat­ment. No sus­pects were held. Po­lice are yet to as­cer­tain a mo­tive for the shoot­ing. PC Mo­hammed of the San Fer­nan­do?Po­lice Sta­tion is con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
