Appeal Court judge Wendell Kangaloo has returned to T&T after extensive treatment in the US. Kangaloo, 56, sustained critical injuries in an accident on the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway in May. He was acting as Chief Justice at the time.
A statement from the Judiciary's department of court administration said yesterday Kangaloo received treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
Chief Justice Ivor Archie met Kangaloo and his family at the airport and said: "We will continue to pray for that development and we truly look forward to the day when Justice Kangaloo will be reunited with his colleagues on the bench."
According to the release, Kangaloo will require "a measure of privacy and quiet to facillitate continued therapy and allow him to resettle."
