Ten people were held by the police during a raid at Duncan and Nelson Streets in Port-of-Spain on Monday night. Police said three of the men were wanted for questioning about the murder of fire-fighter Gloria Pierre-Boyce, 31, of Bird Lane, Pioneer Drive, Petit Valley who was accidently shot dead last Sunday during a shooting spree in East-Dry-River.
She was visiting relatives when they heard several gunshots and she was discovered shot in the chest. The detained men were up to late yesterday being questioned by homicide officers. The seven others are being held for questioning in connection with several recent shootings in the downtown area. Insp Sahadeo Singh, Cpl Charles Budree and a party of officers from the Besson Street Police Station also visited the area.
