Sis­ters Sha­nia and Shaunelle De Four look at a jel­ly­fish washed up on the beach at Ma­yaro yes­ter­day. Vis­i­tors to Ma­yaro are again dis­ap­point­ed that the Min­istry of Tourism failed for an­oth­er year to warn peo­ple about the pres­ence of jel­ly­fish or the Por­tuguese Man-of-War in the east­ern wa­ters. Christo­pher Beepath, a vis­i­tor to the beach, asked why there were tsuna­mi warn­ing signs at Church Road but noth­ing about how to treat jel­ly­fish stings and where treat­ment is avail­able. Life­guards said jel­ly­fish sea­son runs from Jan­u­ary to March each year.
