New­ly-ap­point­ed dis­as­ter man­age­ment co-or­di­na­tor of the Ch­agua­nas Bor­ough Cor­po­ra­tion Stephan Kishore en­ters a coun­cil meet­ing at the cor­po­ra­tion yes­ter­day. Kishore, 26, served 60 days in a US prison and was placed on three years' pro­ba­tion.

A re­port in the Sun­day Guardian said Kishore re­turned to T&T in 2009 af­ter he was un­able to get a green card be­cause of his crim­i­nal record but was hired in his cur­rent post in 2011 on a three-year con­tract. He did not dis­close his crim­i­nal record to of­fi­cials when he ap­plied for, or ac­cept­ed the job of­fer.
