A Felicity mother got the shock of her life when she went to lodge a missing person's report on her daughter. It was then she discovered her young daughter was the second victim in a vehicular crash on Saturday which claimed the life of T&T Entertainment Company CEO, Wade Mills.
Police said around 8 am, the mother went to the Chaguanas Police Station to make a report. While she was giving a physical description of her daughter, the officer asked her to accompany them to the mortuary at the Eric Williams Medical Science Complex at Mount Hope.
Police said the mother broke down in tears when she saw the body of her daughter, 19-year-old Audriana Khan of Lyle Lane Street, Felicity. According to police reports, around 3.15 am on Saturday, Mills, a St Lucian who lived at Lyndon Street, Curepe was driving his Kia Cerato north along the Uriah Butler Highway when he lost control near Radio Trinidad's broadcast station.
The car slammed into a utility pole, immediately killing both occupants. Police said Khan's body was found in the back seat of the car. Mills, who was also the substantive funding officer of the company, was expected to be flown back to St Lucia to be buried. It is believed that Mills, 34, was on his way home when the accident happened.
