A woman po­lice cor­po­ral as­signed to the San Fer­nan­do City Cor­po­ra­tion was yes­ter­day ar­rest­ed af­ter po­lice raid­ed her Ch­agua­nas home and al­leged­ly found a large quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na. The 28-year-old of­fi­cer, who en­list­ed in the ser­vice sev­en years ago was ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force led by Cpl Sunil Bharath, who ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant at her Bal­moral Park, Ed­in­burgh 500 home yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.

Dur­ing the raid the of­fi­cers found 1.5 ki­los of high grade mar­i­jua­na hid­den in a bed­room along with elec­tron­ic scales and oth­er para­pher­na­lia used by drug traf­fick­ers. The drugs has a street val­ue of more than $20,000, po­lice said. The of­fi­cer was be­ing in­ter­viewed by in­ves­ti­ga­tors at the Mor­vant Po­lice Sta­tion up to late yes­ter­day.

She is ex­pect­ed to a ap­pear be­fore a Ch­agua­nas mag­is­trate ear­ly next week. PCs Clint Dass and Jerome Gor­don were al­so in­volved in the ex­er­cise.
