After almost two years of complaining, Mayaro residents welcomed a PTSC bus service which will be primarily used to take students to school in Sangre Grande. Oliver Alexander, spokesman for the parents, said he had made representation to PTSC on many occasions and parents were ready to stage a public protest.
He said that 68 students used alternative transport to travel from Mayaro to Sangre Grande daily, which cost parents over $1,000 a month. In photo, Mayaro students board the PTSC bus bound for Sangre Grande. PHOTO: ALANA SURAJ
