Political Leader of the Congress of the People Prakash Ramadhar says there must a consequence to any misinformation deliberately given by Dr Hafizool Mohammed. Yesterday, Ramadhar said he was thankful that the work of the commission was continuing despite the fiasco surrounding one of its commissioners.

He was speaking to reporters after a public consultation hosted by the Commissioner of State Lands on the regularisation of residental/commercial leases of Bamboo No 2 residents. It was held at the Land Management Division, Roosevelt Place, corner of El Socorro Road and Jattan Lane, El Socorro.

Ramadhar said, “We believe, in fact and that is exactly what is being done now...to ascertain proof in the matter. “We believe that where there is any misinformation deliberately given that there must be a consequence to that. In any event, the work of the commission must continue and we hope that this matter is speedily resolved. “It is an embarrassment to the processs. “Thank goodness that the work continued even in the controversy that surrounds it.”
