Chair­man of T&T Red Cross So­ci­ety, Vin­dra Amar, says it cost about $100,000 to pro­duce the C2k13 edi­tion of Kid­dies.She al­so said the Red Cross tries to raise about $250,000 in prof­its from the Chil­drens' Car­ni­val, which is then in­ject­ed in­to hu­man­i­tar­i­an projects.Amar made these com­ments while host­ing Min­is­ter of Arts and Mul­ti­cul­tur­al­ism Dr Lin­coln Dou­glas and his wife, psy­chol­o­gist Dr Di­ane Dou­glas, in the VIP sec­tion of the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain on Sat­ur­day.

Amar thanked Dr Jean Ramjohn-Richards, wife of Pres­i­dent George Maxwell Richards, who has been pa­tron of the event for the last eight years.Dou­glas came in for spe­cial men­tion."it is the first time we are hav­ing a min­is­ter and we are pleased," Amar said.
