Residents of Indian Trail in central Trinidad will get their landslips repaired shortly.Caroni Central MP Dr Glenn Ramadharsingh said so while speaking to the media during a community tour yesterday.
The Minister of People and Social Development said he planned to liaise with the Ministries of Local Government and Works and Infrastructure to have infrastructural works executed in the shortest possible time.
Ramadharsingh also asked residents to do their part to keep crime down by looking out for members of their community. He said people have allowed money, greed and arrogance to step into their lives and have forgotten about the less fortunate in their communities.
Ramadharsingh said the less fortunate should not be ignored and be allowed to slip through the cracks and enter a life of deviant behaviour. He said a sense of responsibility for all communities must come from within community members who want to see the betterment of their area.
He said people living in rural areas want to see development taking place in their communities rather than all development being urban centred.
