Po­lice have ar­rest­ed two sus­pects in con­nec­tion with the brazen rob­bery of two peo­ple be­lieved to be tourists on Car­ni­val Tues­day at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain.Port-of-Spain CID of­fi­cers were able to make the ar­rests af­ter the T&T Guardian ex­clu­sive­ly high­light­ed the in­ci­dent this week with a se­ries of pho­tos show­ing the at­tack.

Some of the pho­tos were tak­en by a T&T Guardian read­er and two by pho­tog­ra­ph­er Edi­son Boodoos­ingh. T&T Guardian staff took the pho­tos to the po­lice. They went vi­ral on­line af­ter be­ing pub­lished.Po­lice are ask­ing any­one af­fect­ed by the in­ci­dent to con­tact Port-of-Spain CID.The sus­pects were de­tained yes­ter­day and are ex­pect­ed to be put on ID pa­rades this week­end.

On Car­ni­val Tues­day, a gang of men at­tacked the tourists as the band Lega­cy was cross­ing the QPS stage. The men se­vere­ly beat one of the vis­i­tors, leav­ing him bleed­ing on the ground, and over­whelmed a Lega­cy se­cu­ri­ty guard when he in­ter­vened.
