Yes­ter­day's week­ly Cab­i­net meet­ing was sus­pend­ed and will con­tin­ue to­mor­row since Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar had to go to Cara­cas, ac­cord­ing to Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Min­is­ter Ja­mal Mo­hammed.The PM left at 4.30 pm yes­ter­day for Cara­cas to at­tend to­day's fu­ner­al for the late Venezue­lan Pres­i­dent Hugo Chavez.

Oth­er PP of­fi­cials said the Cab­i­net would have to con­tin­ue to­mor­row since there were many mat­ters on yes­ter­day's agen­da. They con­firmed that in­clud­ed state board ap­point­ments, se­cu­ri­ty is­sues and oth­er mat­ters.

Sources said the min­is­te­r­i­al state board team met ear­li­er this week. They tipped Air­ports Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (AATT) chair­man Ger­ry Hadeed to be­come new CN­MG chair­man. Once ap­point­ed to CN­MG, they said, he would shift from AATT.
