The State's main wit­ness in a case deal­ing with the mur­ders of a woman and her son at the Clax­ton Bay dump has gone miss­ing.State at­tor­ney Sarah de Sil­va told Deputy Chief Mag­is­trate Mark Welling­ton of the sit­u­a­tion yes­ter­day when the pre­lim­i­nary en­quiry in­to the mur­ders re­sumed.

An­ton Goodridge and Shaz­ard Ra­jack, both of Bertrand Street, San Fer­nan­do, are be­fore Welling­ton in the San Fer­nan­do First Court charged with the mur­ders of Di­ane Williams and her ten-year-old son Shaquille Mor­gan. Their head­less and dis­mem­bered bod­ies were found at the For­res Park land­fill near Clax­ton Bay on Ju­ly 21, 2010.The en­quiry be­gan ear­li­er this year.

De Sil­va said: "The main wit­ness re­quest­ed for cross-ex­am­i­na­tion could not be lo­cat­ed."How­ev­er, De Sil­va said she would ap­ply to ten­der the wit­ness' state­ment and deal with the is­sue on the next oc­ca­sion. The mag­is­trate is­sued a sum­mons for the wit­ness and ad­journed the mat­ter to April 4.
