The State's main witness in a case dealing with the murders of a woman and her son at the Claxton Bay dump has gone missing.State attorney Sarah de Silva told Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington of the situation yesterday when the preliminary enquiry into the murders resumed.
Anton Goodridge and Shazard Rajack, both of Bertrand Street, San Fernando, are before Wellington in the San Fernando First Court charged with the murders of Diane Williams and her ten-year-old son Shaquille Morgan. Their headless and dismembered bodies were found at the Forres Park landfill near Claxton Bay on July 21, 2010.The enquiry began earlier this year.
De Silva said: "The main witness requested for cross-examination could not be located."However, De Silva said she would apply to tender the witness' statement and deal with the issue on the next occasion. The magistrate issued a summons for the witness and adjourned the matter to April 4.
