Po­lice have launched a man­hunt for four armed thieves who snatched a 21-year-old man from his La Ro­maine home Sat­ur­day night, af­ter beat­ing and rob­bing him of a quan­ti­ty of cash and elec­tron­ics.Yes­ter­day, of­fi­cers of the San Fer­nan­do CID em­barked on the search for the sus­pects af­ter their vic­tim, An­tho­ny An­dre, of Dum­fries Rd, La Ro­maine, re­port­ed the in­ci­dent.

He told po­lice that around 10.30 pm Sat­ur­day he was about to open the front gate to his apart­ment when he was ap­proached by four men. Two of the men, he said, were armed with guns. He said one of the men dealt him a blow to the face and or­dered him in­side.The men pro­ceed­ed to rob An­dre of his tele­vi­sion val­ued at $3,200, a $2,700 stereo, two pairs of shoes and his Black­ber­ry cell phone val­ued at $600. He said the thieves al­so took $300 in cash.

Af­ter the men fin­ished raid­ing An­dre's apart­ment they forced him in­to a black ve­hi­cle. Some­time lat­er, An­dre was dropped off at the Ch­agua­nas Fly­over. He lat­er re­port­ed the in­ci­dent to po­lice.Woman Po­lice Con­sta­ble Valdez is con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
