WIN Caribbean, the leading network for original content in T&T, will soon be available in the Canadian market through Bell Fibe.The network, based in Chaguanas, comprises WINTV and WIN Radio 101.1FM, both leaders in their respective medium.WIN Caribbean offers a unique blend of news, sports and politics from throughout the Caribbean, as well as entertainment, lifestyle programming, Carnival, tourism features and much more.
This content will be available to members of the diaspora, covering the region from Jamaica on the northern end of the island chain all the way down to Guyana.WIN Caribbean is the market leader for locally produced and original content, including news and current affairs programming.It was the first station to broadcast Carnival from North America live, along with several other special events programmes.
The station won almost 15 awards for its current affairs and lifestyle programmes within the first three years of operations.Meantime, 101.1FM is the most listened to station for the 15-20 age group on weekends, and is a leader among the 15-40 age group on weekdays.WINTV can be seen on Channel 659 on Bell Fibe, and WIN Radio is on Channel 660.
It will be the first time that a Caribbean station will be broadcasting non-stop content comprising news and current affairs, sports, entertainment, talk and lifestyle, as well as locally produced soaps, documentaries and investment programming in the North American market.WIN Caribbean will stage a formal news conference for the launch on April 25 in Toronto.
