The In­tegri­ty Com­mis­sion has cleared for­mer at­tor­ney gen­er­al John Je­re­mie of an al­leged breach of the In­tegri­ty in Pub­lic Life Act. The probe had been look­ing in­to Je­re­mie's links to a land deal.How­ev­er, a let­ter from the com­mis­sion to Je­re­mie, dat­ed Jan­u­ary 23, 2013, and signed by Reg­is­trar Mar­tin Far­rell, con­firmed he had been cleared af­ter the in­ves­ti­ga­tions were com­plet­ed.

It read in part: "The Com­mis­sion has in­ves­ti­gat­ed the al­le­ga­tion and has ar­rived at the opin­ion that there has been no breach of the In­tegri­ty in Pub­lic Life Act."
