Two sus­pects who were held in con­nec­tion with the dis­ap­pear­ance of miss­ing Rousil­lac moth­er Pa­tri­cia Rachael Mo­hammed were re­leased by homi­cide and an­ti-kid­nap­ping de­tec­tives yes­ter­day.In­ves­ti­ga­tors said al­though the men were re­leased, they were con­fi­dent of find­ing Mo­hammed, who has not been seen or heard from since rush­ing out of her Rum­still Road home on March 19.

Ac­cord­ing to Mo­hammed's moth­er An­nie, it has been hard on her since the miss­ing woman, aged 29, is her on­ly child. She now has to care for five of her six grand­chil­dren, in­clud­ing one-year-old tod­dler Aleem Mo­hammed.As she held her grand­chil­dren yes­ter­day, she said: "I just heard a voice and the chil­dren said she walked out to the junc­tion and that was it.

"I haven't seen or heard from her since and when I called the num­ber that she gave me some­one else an­swers the phone and said that Pa­tri­cia does not have it any more."If she goes out, she will come back in the night. She does not stay away for so long be­cause of the ba­by."Her ba­by is a year and two months and he is breast­feed­ing. The old­est boy stays with his grand­fa­ther in Mara­bel­la, but the rest stay with me."

An­nie be­lieves her daugh­ter's life of abuse may be con­nect­ed to her dis­ap­pear­ance. She said Mo­hammed had to move back home af­ter a male rel­a­tive made threats to her life.She said even dur­ing preg­nan­cy with Aleem, the man con­tin­ued to beat her. "He is ac­cus­tomed beat­ing her. He beat her and kicked her in the road and threat­ened to stab her. He even beat her when her bel­ly was big, slapped her around and made her fall in the road."

An­nie said she was hope­ful that her daugh­ter would re­turn home soon, but friends and fam­i­ly said they had not heard from her since she went miss­ing."I re­al­ly can't say what hap­pened be­cause it is re­al­ly sus­pi­cious to me and she nev­er went miss­ing be­fore."But I have to cope some how, be­cause it is five of them I have to see about."
