National Security Minister Jack Warner says he is a most harassed man in T&T but his fightback has not started as yet.Speaking at the Monday Night Forum of the United National Congress at the Barataria Complex, Warner said he wanted to know why people were afraid of him so much.He said he had committed no criminal offence as a minister.
Warner, a former Fifa executive said he left that organisation two years ago but his name was still being linked to the world football governing body.He said in the past 35 months in office there had been 36 calls for him to either resign or be fired. He said 18 of those calls were made by Opposition leader Dr Keith Rowley and Opposition senator Fitzgerald Hinds.
"No politician in this country has been vilified, denigrated and abused as I have been and yet I stand tall, knowing that I have the confidence and support of the PM and the Cabinet," Warner said in the presence of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar who was seated at the head table.
Warner said he answered five questions about the alleged new flying squad and an additional "record" 29 supplemental questions on the same issue and he answered all.He said the same questions have been filed for him to answer in the House of Representatives on Friday.
