The Magistrates Court, High Court and Court of Appeal will remain open and functioning tomorrow and Tuesday. The courts will not be affected by the two-day Masters and Judges seminar.According to a release from the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago, Court Protocol and Information Unit, the public is advised that the seminar to be attended by masters and judges tomorrow and Tuesday will not result in the shutdown of the judiciary over the two days.
The magistrates courts are unaffected since those judicial officers are not involved and adequate arrangements have been made for the hearing or adjournment of matters before the High Court and the Court of Appeal. All ancillary services at the courts will be available to the public as usual.
The judges and masters will meet tomorrow and Tuesday in an exercise geared towards examining issues that may assist or impede the ongoing transformation exercise in the organisation.A similar programme was held for the country's magistrates a few weeks ago.
