The chair­man of the Con­gress of the Peo­ple, Pub­lic Ad­min­is­tra­tion Min­is­ter Car­olyn Seep­er­sad-Bachan, says when the par­ty's con­sti­tu­tion is amend­ed, Sport Min­is­ter Anil Roberts and oth­er mem­bers of the par­ty will have to ac­count.She said fail­ure to do so would re­sult in the mem­ber or mem­bers not be­ing al­lowed to wear the par­ty's lo­go.She spoke in a brief tele­phone in­ter­view yes­ter­day.

Seep­er­sad-Bachan said the is­sue of dis­ci­pline was not about her but about up­hold­ing the par­ty's prin­ci­ples.The par­ty con­sti­tu­tion is ex­pect­ed to be rat­i­fied next month and she said yes­ter­day when that was done the COP would take ac­tion against er­rant mem­bers.Re­spond­ing to a claim from Roberts on Mon­day about dis­sat­is­fied con­stituents in San Fer­nan­do West, which she rep­re­sents, she said she was hap­py they were seek­ing as­sis­tance from him.

She not­ed that con­stituents from oth­er con­stituen­cies al­so came to her for as­sis­tance but there was pro­to­col for such mat­ters.She said it was not ap­pro­pri­ate to breach pro­to­col and speak out on such mat­ters but San Fer­nan­do West would be very hap­py if Roberts could do what was nec­es­sary to en­sure a sports ground was pro­vid­ed for the stu­dents at San Fer­nan­do Cen­tral Sec­ondary School.

Seep­er­sad-Bachan said fa­cil­i­ties were re­quired at the Bel Air grounds play park, Roy Joseph bas­ket­ball court and at Carl­ton Lane, San Fer­nan­do.
