Four vehicles were seriously damaged in downtown Port of Spain this afternoon when a cement truck pulled down four electric poles and wires.
A section of Queen Street, one of the city's main traffic arteries, was immediately cut off to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
No serious injuries have been reported, however.
The incident occurred around 4 pm. Authorities estimate that it will take four hours to restore current to the affected buildings.
