De Coteau hospitalised
Minister of Gender, Youth and Child Development, Clifton De Coteau is warded at Surgi Med, a private nursing home on Penitence Street, San Fernando.
De Couteau, who collapsed at his home on Wednesday, has been suffering bleeding to his brain.
Health Minister Fuad Khan said the episode may have been brought on by hypertension.
He said the bleeding may have caused swelling to the brain and may affect his balance.
De Coteau is alert and should be discharged by Monday but may have to take three to six weeks off the job, Khan said.
