Double murder in Malabar
The boyfriend of a Congress of the People (COP) local government elections candidate is one of the country's latest murder victims.
Shiyloh Mc Intosh, 21, of Calvary Hill, Arima home was shot in the head at Mahogany Drive, Arima his around 8 pm on October 1. He died on the spot.
Mc Intosh was the boyfriend of COP Malabar South candidate Kizzy Edwards.
The second victim was Kernel Jobe, 27, of Cocorite Road, Arima, who was shot several times in the same incident.
According to reports, Mc Intosh, Edwards and others were painting an abandoned building at Mahogany Drive, close to the COP constituency office when a car pulled up. Several shots were fired from the car.
While the others escaped, Jobe was taken to the Arima Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, and Mc Intosh died at the scene.
Police investigations are continuing but no political motive is suspected at this time.
