The four political parties contesting the October 21 local government elections will speak this evening at the Lloyd Best Institute's "People's Turn Forum on the future of the Orange Grove Savannah."
Local government candidates Ria Boodoo of the Congress of the People (COP); Aneela Choon of the Independent Liberal Party (ILP); Earl Andrews of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) and People's National Movement (PNM) MP Colm Imbert are scheduled to attend the three-hour forum to be held at 6 pm at Charis World Christian Academy, opposite the Savannah on Orange Grove Road, Tacarigua, according to a release from the Lloyd Best Institute yesterday.
Residents of the area have complained about the Government's plan to construct a sporting complex on the space, which the residents have dubbed the last green space they can use in their area. Journalist and radio talk show host Dale Enoch will moderate the event.
