EBC has two addresses for Alleyne
The Elections and Boundaries Commission has two different addresses for the United National Congress' (UNC) candidate in today's St Joseph by-election, Ian Alleyne.
He is one of five candidates contesting the by-election.
An official document from the EBC listing the names, addresses, occupations and symbols of the St Joseph by-election candidates identified Alleyne's address is 21 Sevilla, Brechin Castle, Couva.
However, this morning, a search of the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) official website listed Ian Leslie Alleyne's name, address, constituency and local government district as follows:
Name: ALLEYNE, IAN LESLIE
Address: 49 PALM ROAD
Parliamentary Electoral District: ST.JOSEPH
Municipal Electoral District : VALSAYN/ST JOSEPH
The website further shows Alleyne is registered to vote at polling division 1514, which is at the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies, off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Valsayn.
Alleyne's team has said that he would vote there this afternoon, according to a CNC3 report.
Last night, the media were notified that Alleyne would vote at 10 am.
Polls opened at 6 am and no voting irregularities have been reported so far. Polls close at 6 pm.
