Police are searching for the relative of a two-year-old infant who reportedly snatched her from her home in Enterprise, Chaguanas, on Saturday.According to the child's father, Jonathan Providence, Kassie Providence was at her Enterprise home around 10 am when a female relative came to the house, grabbed her out of the verandah and took her into a waiting car.He said the child's grandmother, Jennifer Providence, heard her screaming and immediately called the police and other family members.
In an interview at the T&T Guardian's office, in Port-of-Spain yesterday, Jonathan Providence, said he would like his daughter to be home for Christmas.He said he was on his way to work when he received a call from his mother telling him that Kassie had been snatched from the house.Jonathan said Kassie was barefoot and clad in a nightgown.
"I need to get my daughter. She only knows the two of us (father and grandmother). I have all her medication. A few weeks ago we were at the Chaguanas Health Facility with her. She has asthma," he said.Jonathan said Kassie needed a breathing apparatus and was hospitalised at the San Fernando Hospital for three weeks last year.A report about the abduction was made at the Chaguanas Police Station.
