Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which three advanced, one declined and eight traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 150,621 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,362,609.90. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 53,848 shares changing hands for a value of $26,924, followed by Prestige Holdings Ltd with a volume of 44,573 shares being traded for $421,124.98.
GraceKennedy Ltd contributed 14,010 shares with a value of $48,334.50, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 13,522 shares valued at $31,100.60. First Citizens Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.18 to end the day at $41.66. Conversely, Angostura Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $12.43. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 14,800 shares valued at $329,362.14. It remained at $22.25.
