United States (US) law enforcement agencies are offering a US$25,000 reward for information which may lead to the arrest of a Trinidadian man who has been wanted in the US for more than ten years for murdering his sister and former fiancee.A release from the public affairs section of the US Embassy said US authorities believe the 49-year-old fugitive, Andre Neverson, has been living in the Caribbean since fleeing the US in 2003.
The release described Neverson as "armed and dangerous" and said: "He has a violent criminal history with a pronounced pattern of violence toward women."Neverson is light-skinned and of African descent. He is six foot two inches and his last known weight was 240 lbs. He usually has a shaved head and has a scar on his forehead. He is known to wear wigs to disguise himself."Neverson speaks several languages and is known to always carry a firearm," the release said.
Neverson, who has been on the US Marshals Service's "15 Most Wanted" list since 2004, served five years in prison for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend's uncle from 1992 to 1998, when he was released on parole.According to the US Marshals Services' Web site, in September 2000, Neverson re-entered the US illegally, using a fake Jamaican passport.
On July 8, 2002, he shot his 39-year-old sister Patricia dead at the home she shared with him in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. The day after, he kidnapped his ex-fiance, Donna Davis. Her body was found two days later with a gunshot wound to the head."At the time of both murders, Neverson was on parole in the State of New York for attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a firearm," the release said.
On November 6, 2002, Neverson allegedly broke into the home of another ex-girlfriend to attempt to visit their two-year-old daughter. However, he fled after the woman's brother interrupted the unannounced visit. His last known sighting in the US was in New York on January 3, 2003.In September 2005, US investigators visited Trinidad, after Neverson was reportedly spotted several times, including once at a car auction in Diego Martin. He was said to have been living in Morvant.
