Education Ministry okays early closing of Port of Spain schools

The Ministry of Education has given approval for certain schools to dismiss classes early today, as Port of Spain remains under a cloud of smoke from fires burning at the Beetham Landfill.


The full list of primary and secondary schools given approval is:

Success/Laventille Secondary School

Queen's Royal College

St. Joseph Convent POS

Tranquillity Government Secondary School

St. Rose's Girls' Primary School

Rosary Boys Primary School

Beetham Estate Primary School

Bethlehem Girls' Primary School

Bethlehem Boys Primary School

St. Philip's Government Primary School

Sacred Heart Girls Primary School

Sacred Heart Boys Primary School,

Eastern Girls Primary School

St. Hilda's Government Primary School

St. Ursula's A.C. Primary School

Moulton Hall Methodist Primary School.
