A 32-year-old Diego Martin man is in police custody after he was arrested this morning on charges that he sexually assaulted his 10-year-old daughter late last year.
According to police reports, the man was among a group of 33 people held during a police exercise in the Western Division that began around 2 am and ended 9 am.
Police said the child complained to a relative about the incidents and the relative reported the matter to the police.
The Guardian is seeking to find out exactly when the incidents occurred and when that first report was made.
The man is currently at the West End Police Station and is assisting police with their investigations.
Police said he is expected to appear in court charged with the offence some time next week.
