Drunk man crashes outside police station

A 23-year-old pipe fit­ter will ap­pear be­fore a San Fer­nan­do mag­is­trate this morn­ing af­ter crash­ing in­to two po­lice ve­hi­cles while un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol.The ac­ci­dent hap­pened just out­side the Mon Re­pos Po­lice Sta­tion along the Na­pari­ma Ma­yaro Road, around 4.35 am on Sat­ur­day.The ac­cused dri­ver of William Trace, Moru­ga, spent the week­end in cus­tody af­ter be­ing ar­rest­ed and charged by WPC Fi­garo.

Re­ports stat­ed that the man was dri­ving a grey Nis­san Cif­ero, head­ing west when he smashed in­to a new po­lice SUV, which was parked in front the sta­tion. The im­pact caused the po­lice ve­hi­cle to col­lide with an­oth­er parked po­lice ve­hi­cle.The sus­pect and two oth­er oc­cu­pants, ages 25 and 23, of Pleas­antville and Low­er Hill­side, re­spec­tive­ly sus­tained no se­ri­ous in­juries in the crash.He was is­sued a breathal­yser test and po­lice said he had ex­ceed­ed the le­gal lim­it for al­co­hol con­sump­tion while dri­ving.
