Senate President’s son beaten during attempted robbery
The son of Senate President Timothy Hamel-Smith was treated at the West Shore Medical Complex in Cocorite on Thursday night, after he sustained injuries when four men stormed his Diego Martin home and assaulted him. According to police reports, Luke Hamel-Smith was at home with his wife, Keoimi Hamel-Smith, around 11.30 pm, when the four men entered and announced a hold up. Hamel-Smith was beaten about his body, but managed to scare off the bandits when he shouted for help.
None of the family’s belongings were reportedly stolen. Investigations are continuing.
