Republic Bank shares climb to $120.60
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which five advanced, one declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 127,000 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,116,451.33. Angostura Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 59,576 shares changing hands for a value of $774,488, followed by National Flour Mills Ltd with a volume of 51,971 shares being traded for $57,168.10.
Trinidad Cement Ltd contributed 5,000 shares with a value of $10,000, while Agostini’s Ltd added 3,650 shares valued at $64,057.50. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.25 to end the day at $120.60. Conversely, Agostini’s Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.02 to end the day at $17.55. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 35,266 shares valued at $763,671.50. It advanced by $0.07 to end at $21.65.
