Man drowns near Arena dam
A Mundo Nuevo man was fished out of the Tumpuna River, about a mile-and-a-half downstream from the Arena reservoir yesterday after disappearing in the water on Monday. Police said Vincent Matthew and a group of friends went to the area on Monday around 12.30 pm. Investigators believe Matthew went to relieve himself and fell into the water and disappeared.
Coast Guard divers recovered his body around 11.30 am yesterday. An autopsy is to be performed today.
