Restaurateur Parmanand "Pancho" Yarna was discharged from hospital yesterday.
Yarna had been in hospital for almost two weeks after being shot by a stray bullet outside of his restaurant on Queen Street, Port-of-Spain.
Speaking with the T&T Guardian yesterday, Yarna said he would not return to work until his health improves.
Yarna, 60, had been kept at the Intensive Care Unit for most of his stay at the hospital.
Shortly before 6 am on June 13, he was talking to a fruit vendor outside of his business place, opposite the National Library, when he was shot.
Police said they believe he was hit by a stray bullet from a high-powered rifle, fired from east Port-of-Spain.
Doctors could not remove the bullet.
No one has been arrested.
