The autopsy on 19-year-old father of two Marcus Noel refutes claims by relatives that he was shot on Sunday in the back of the head by police.According to pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov Noel was shot once in the face near the left eye with the bullet exiting the back of his head.Relatives claimed he was shot in the back of the head. Speaking with the media at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, yesterday, Noel's brother Dale Noel said the father of a four-year-old and two-month-old was a cool person who liked to make everyone around him laugh.
He said his brother had hoped to move out of the East Dry River area. Noel was returning from the bank on Park Street, Port of Spain, when he was shot by the police.According to police reports, around 5.20 pm on Sunday officers attached to the Central Police Station were on patrol when they saw three men robbing a man.The men were held by the police and during the arrest three other men ran and were chased by them. According to the police Noel turned and shot at them causing the police to return fire, fatally injuring him.Noel is the 32nd person killed by police for the year. –MN
