Reigning International Power Soca Monarch Machel Montano will discuss his life and work this evening in a panel discussion themed, 33 Years On Stage, this evening at Boissiere House, Queen's Park West, Port-of-Spain.
Montano will be joined by Fr Stephen Ransome and Sr Theresa Vialva who have both written extensively about him, as well as his parents Elizabeth and Winston, his manager Che Kothari and journalist Laura Dowrich-Phillips. The panel will be chaired by T&T Guardian features editor Franka Philip.
Boissiere House is also the venue for the exhibition On Stage which is dedicated to the soca star's career. Visitors can see videos, costumes, awards and other memorabilia collected over Montano's 33-year career.
The discussion begins at 6 pm and is free to the public.
