Four police officers attached to the St Joseph Police Station appeared in court today charged with misbehaviour in public office.
The officers are alleged to have taken Ashley Alexander against his will from the Churchill Roselvelt Highway onAugust 30and falsely imprisoned him at the St Joseph Police Station.
The officers are also accused of using unnecessary violence towards Alexander by beating him and assaulting him causing actial bodily harm.
The four appeared before magistrate Gillian David-Scotland and will reappear on court onJune 16.
