Deputy chairman of the Integrity Commission, Justice Sebastian Ventour, has quit the Integrity Commission (IC).
Ventour's surprise move today comes just one day after another commissioner, Dr Shelly Anne Lalchan, also ended her tenure at the commission.
Both resignations have come on the heels of an announcement by the Integrity Commission that its investigation into the Emailgate probe had been closed.
Lalchan's resignation, however, becomes effective at the end of this month and is reportedly unrelated to the Emailgate investigation.
Ventour, however, says his resignation is directly related to the press release issued by the IC on the probe.

The probe was started after Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley took 31 emails to the House in 2013 which he alleged were exchanged between Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, former attorney general Anand Ramlogan, Cabinet Ministers Dr Suruj Rambachan and Dr Roodal Moonilal and then national security adviser Gary Griffith.
